Position: Full sun, ideally in a warm and sheltered location.
Soil: Free-draining soil is essential. Many Mediterranean plants prefer relatively poor to moderately fertile soils and will struggle in persistently wet or waterlogged conditions.
Watering: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, many of these varieties are relatively drought-tolerant and require less frequent watering.
Flowering season: Generally spring through to autumn, depending on the variety and growing conditions.
Maintenance: Relatively low-maintenance once established. Occasional pruning, trimming and seasonal tidying will help maintain healthy, attractive plants.
