This week we're sharing tips on how you can #GardenForWildlife 🌼🐝 Let's start things off with how your planting choices can boost your local populations of bumblebees, butterflies and other pollinators. 🦋 By planting pollinator-friendly, nectar-rich flowering plants, you can provide essential forage and shelter year-round. 🐝 For bumblebees, it's important to plant a variety of plants that flower at different times of year as their active season is March—October. We recommend hellebores, lavender, borage, chives and marjoram. 🍓 If you grow strawberries and tomatoes, you can feed yourself the fruits, while pollinators can forage their flowers for nectar. 🌿 Pollinators love the flowers of herbs. The following can be easily planted up in a PlantBox trough and used in everyday cooking: chives, thyme, rosemary, sage, mint, oregano, lavender, and borage.

Last Friday May 22nd we joined forces with a team of amazing partners to create a fully donated wellbeing garden for the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust @uhbwnhs 🎗

Staff and patients from the dementia, stroke, cardiac and ICU wards will now be able to enjoy this tranquil garden, with peaceful and restorative views of nature around the winding path which is now wheelchair accessible.
