Sustainability

In a world that’s being impacted by climate change and worsening air pollution levels, we understand that we are part of a global community – what we do here matters to people everywhere. Our business operates on a Planet > People > Business model, meaning above all else we do what we can to be as environmentally conscious as possible.

Recycled Materials

By using recycled materials we’re reducing waste, repurposing materials, and diverting plastic from landfills. PlantBloxTM is made with 100% recycled plastic from UK household waste! All of our timber-based products are FSC certified.

Local Manufacturing

Using local manufacturers allows us to minimise our carbon footprint, it also allows us to ensure the best quality product our customers. We are ‘made in Britain’ accredited proud to work with British suppliers to manufacture products from non-toxic, recycled materials.

Our PlantBlox units are manufactured in Norfolk, and our components are made by our local manufacturing partners right next door to our HQ!

REUSE, Reduce, Recycle

PlantBoxTM has a design life of over 10 years, giving customers assurance that their vertical garden will be thriving for years to come. PlantBoxTM is both modular and stackable, and troughs can be easily unscrewed from the wall and moved to any new location. This encourages reusability and gives total flexibility to the customer.

Responsible Packaging

Our packaging is made in Cambridgeshire (UK) from 100% recycled papers and you will never see any single-use plastics around our products as we use compostable bags instead.

Sustainable Supply Chain

We have ensured our supply chain also shares our values and promotes environmental sustainability. A good example being how we recently changed our couriers due to their pledge to become one of the first transport companies to use all electric vehicles in the UK – something we see as being vitally important in order to work within a circular, net-zero economy.

1% for The Planet

Lastly, we pledge 1% of PlantBox sales to 1% For The Planet, a global organisation that supports non profits who are tackling our most pressing environmental issues. We also support local community projects to help people reconnect with nature, such as the creation of wellbeing gardens.
